引以为豪的问题A proud question
For years my husband taught a course in Western civilization at Forums College in Virginia. He prided himself on the essay questions in his final exams.

One such question was, “It is the year 2012. You are sitting in your living room, reading the newspaper, when your son comes in and asks, ‘what was liberalism, and what happened to it?’ How do you answer him?”

One student turned in a very short answer, “I don’t know. Go and ask your mother.”
