道冲，而用之有弗盈也。渊呵！似万物之宗。锉其兑，解其纷，和其光，同其尘。湛呵！似或存。吾不知其谁之子，象帝之先。
The Word is void, but its uses are infinite. O deep! It seems to be the root of all things. Acuteness blunted, knot disentangled, glitter tarnished, and identified with dust, o it's submerged, between being and non-being. I don't know who has fathered it; it may have fathered God.
