哲理小短文:行为决定身份We Become What We Do
If the past has taught us anything it is that every action has an effect and a consequence.
Chinese people have a saying: "If a man plants melons, he will reap1 melons. If he sows beans, he will reap beans."
This is true in everyone’s life. Good brings good, and evil leads to evil.
历史告诉我们,凡事皆有因,凡事必有果。
我们中国有句古话,"种瓜得瓜,种豆得豆"。
善有善报,恶有恶报,这是一个不争的事实。
True enough, the sun shines on good people and bad people alike, and too often it seems that the wicked prosper, but we can say with certainty that, with the individual as with the nation, the flourishing of the wicked is an illusion4, for life keeps a record of us all.
In the end, we are all the sum total of our actions.
